In this talk, the speakers will share their experiences and challenges faced when DevRel is bought up among students and professionals in their early careers. The audience will walk away with the facts that are currently faced by beginners and students entering the domain of Developer Relations. Unfortunately, some organizations have a poor understanding of what DevRel entails, leading to misconceptions and misunderstandings about the role. This can have serious consequences, including harm to team morale and a lack of trust from the developer community. To address this issue, Kaiwalya and Ashwin will focus on why it’s important for organizations to reframe their understanding of DevRel as a strategic partnership-building role, rather than simply a way to manage their community. This shift in perspective can enable organizations to make meaningful connections with developers and drive meaningful impact.
